Do you lose your crojo (crochet mojo) a bit in the summer? I admit I do a bit. Summertime is my jam! I want to be outside, playing in the sun, digging in my garden, repainting furniture, sipping drinks and a million other things. When evening comes, I am not super interested in sitting under my large WIP crochet blanket. I have a feeling there are a few of you who are with me. But don’t worry, I got you! In this post are 16 fun summer crochet projects that are perfect for your summer crochet bucket list. Which one are you going to try first?
16 SUMMER CROCHET PROJECTS
What screams “summer” more than flip flops? These adorable little crochet flip-flop keychains work up fast and will look so adorable on your key ring or bag!
Speaking of flip-flops, how adorable are these crochet baby flip flops! (or maybe it’s those adorable toes?) They make a lovely accessory for baby this summer, and are super soft for baby feet. They work for baby boys or girls, just switch up the colors.
For those who go out with just the essentials, this cute little bag is the perfect size for all the little things you may need. It’s also a cute little project for those just learning how to work chevron. You will love your cute little pouch.
This fun pillow is wonderfully beginner friendly, it only used one stitch! It would be perfect for a teen bedroom or dorm room, or any room that needs an extra whimsical touch.
For those cool summer nights sitting on the beach around a campfire (or in my case, up in the mountains around a campfire).
Because there are literally people out there who can kill succulents *raises hand*. But my adorable little crochet succulents are still green!
You will LOVE The Endless Bundle – it’s literally ENDLESS! My membership program includes the entire Whistle and Ivy ad-free pattern library (to download and keep!) videos, full tutorials, courses (including my Learn Crochet Plaid course!), community, and much more. See you on the inside!

And while were are on the subject of killing plants, I have found a plant that needs even less maintenance than succulents. I am the epitome of “black thumbers” and I have keep my air plants alive for over a year! I recommend these cute little plants very much (and the cute air plant pots as well!).
These easy and pretty crochet star flour lights are perfect for your outside deck or patio, and bring a lovely ambiance while enjoying the fresh, evening air.
9. SPEECH BUBBLE COASTERS
Kinda quirky, but these crochet speech bubble coasters are a fun place to set your ice cold drink this summer.
If you love boho style decor, you will love this crochet hexagon wall hanging. The tassels are so perfect.
Did you grow up playing hacky sack? I did, and it would have been fun back then if I had known how to crochet make my own!
These cute earrings are made with embroidery thread and are the most adorable granny square you ever did see!
If you are like me, you may prefer to have something on your feet even in the warmer months. Cue these gladiator slippers. They won’t overheat your feet, but are super soft and comfortable to walk in.
And of course baby needs a pair! These are so soft for baby to wear and have an adorable gladiator style.
How about making a crochet accent rug this summer? Rugs made with chunkier yarn work up quicker and are extra soft.
Gerbera Daisies are among my favorite flowers, maybe because they come in so many bright and beautiful colors. They were the inspiration behind this pretty crochet Gerber daisy wreath, and it turned out so pretty!
Maybe you love your vintage kitchen chairs, but they need a softer touch? Crochet a few of these hexagon puff seat cushions. Your tushy will appreciate it!
Have I inspired you? I hope so! Don’t put those hooks away during summer, especially since I am planning a fun Christmas-in-July series. Hopefully we can alleviate some of that last-minute Christmas bustle by getting a head start early. (hopefully!)
