CHUNKY CROCHET PLAID TRIANGLE SCARF – CROCHET PATTERN

Buffalo plaid fits nicely into this time of year in the northern hemisphere. We were enjoying 50 degree afternoons until US Thanksgiving hit and then Mother Nature decided it was time to close the book on Fall 2023. Of course we decided to put off taking down the trampoline and other various yard projects. The weather was just so nice.

But here we are, in dire need of cozy accessories and this crochet plaid triangle scarf one is perfectly cozy for chilly school drop off trips, or runs for coffee.

ABOUT THIS SCARF PATTERN

Does this shawl look at all familiar? Truthfully, it shouldn’t, but I redesigned an older pattern from the archives that I was never super happy with, and the new version is so much prettier. It’s also easier, and has a nicer drape, so it’s a win all around.
This new version I designed to be worked with 2 strands, so it’s got a chunky weight without needing chunky yarn.

  1. Hi, In your abbreviations you have DC = double crochet an also
DC = double crochet 2tog, they can’t both be DC. Someone new to crochet might be confused.

  2. I am addicted to your buffalo plaid patterns. Thank you so much for redoing this one. I started the old one last week for myself and I wasn’t liking my color combo. I had the gray black combo. I definitely am going to do the red combo as pictured here, I can’t wait to get started. I just purchased the pattern.
