I am not huge on decorating for all the many different seasons and holidays. I have a spring/summer decor vibe, then have a little transitory fall leaf thing that gets us to Christmas, which I go all-out for, then I take down anything red leaving all evergreens, then back to spring/summer. Pretty low-key!
This year, after what felt like a never-ending winter, I decided to do a bit more for spring. Some darling little rustic crochet eggs could maybe add some happiness and extra spring-iness to this place.
RUSTIC CROCHET EGGS – CROCHET PATTERN
These eggs were perfect for fill a little bowl/dish on my credenza and I also had enough to fill a basket on my little porch decor corner. The toned-down neutral colors were just the vibe I was after for this year, but these would be great in bright colors as well.
This year, I also added a carrot design! The new carrot pattern addition has the same aesthetic as the eggs, so they go great together.

What you need:
– 3.5mm Hook
– 1-3 colors of medium weight yarn (I suggest cotton for a modern, rustic look and for better stitch definition) Shine, Dishie and Comfy are some of my favorites
– Polyfil
– Darning Needle
Abbreviations: US Terms
Ch – chain
Sc – single crochet
Sc2tog – Sc decrease
Hdc – Half Double Crochet
Hdc2tog – Hdc decrease
Sl st – Slip Stitch
St – stitch
BLO – Back Loops Only
Gauge: Not important. Just make sure your stitches are tight enough that you can’t see the stuffing in between them.
