Happy Monday friends! I can finally announce something I have been working furiously to finish. Due to the extreme popularity of my crochet plaid slouchy, I decided to design a few more plaid patterns and have a whole crochet PLAID WEEK! I am loving how they are turning out, and I am very excited about one in particular (it was actually a reader suggestion!), I hope you love them too! So mark your calendars and get ready to crochet some plaid!

I wanted to let you know beforehand so you could gather supplies if needed.
I am still finalizing the projects but I have included my yarn estimates. The Bulky and Tuff Puff are finalized, but the last projects are made with worsted and are not finalized yet, so I am estimating the yardage on those.
Here is what I will be using: (affiliate links)
Size P Hook (10 mm)
Size J, H, I, G hooks
Brava Bulky Weight Yarn in Red, Wine and Black
Brava Worsted Weight yarn Red, Wine and Black
Tuff Puff Bulky Yarn in Serrano, Pomegranate and Black
One project will be using Tuff Puff, and you will need 1 ball or Serrano, 2 balls of black and 2 balls for pomegranate.
Two projects will be using Brava Bulky, so you will need 2 balls each of Black and Wine and 1 ball of Red.
Four (possibly FIVE) projects will use Brava Worsted. You will need 3-4 balls of each color to complete one size of each project.
I am assuming you DO have some yarn on hand, because a couple of the projects will have plaid accents, and will use a different Medium Weight yarn for the main part (less than a skein per project). If you don’t have any on hand, order a nice neutral like gray (or other color you would like to go along with a plaid accent).
Hope to have you join me! All the crochet plaid projects will be released on my blog, but be sure to Join our Facebook group to get reminder and updates or Follow my Whistle and Ivy page.

Loved your plaid hat. Unfortunately – or fortunately my friend bought it right away so I will have to make a new one for me. Can’t wait to see what else you are planning for us this week.
