This cute guy was a long time coming. I attempted to design a donkey 2 years ago and I had a difficult time with it looking too “cutesy”, it didn’t quite go with the feel and look of the rest of the set.
I spent a lot of nights thinking of how I could pull off the design, and it was amazing how many ideas came to me right before I would fall asleep, a few of them worked beautifully.
I hope you enjoy making this sweet donkey and added him to your rustic crochet nativity set!

The pattern is not available as a stand alone pattern, but if you bought the full pattern at some point you can get the update for free! Unfortunately, I collected the entire Nativity Set in the first and second CALs when it was free, so I’ve never bought the set. Will you make the newer items available as a stand alone or accessories set?
