Jacket Refashion

I bought this really cute jacket a few years ago. I found it at a killer deal, and I loved the cute ruffly collar and the gathering at the cuffs and around the waist. I didn't really love the zipper, but I bought it anyway.

Well, I guess I really didn't like the zipper because it sat in my closet and I never wore it. When I would put it on, the zipper just made it fit weird.

As it finally turned cold here, I dug out my jackets and sweaters and found it again. I looked at it and realized I could easily replace the zipper with buttons. So I did!

Lucky for me, the jacket had a strip of fabric behind the zipper, so I was easily able to unpick it and sew it back on for the buttons.

I had originally bought these cute, chunky, wooden buttons, but I didn't measure the buttonholes very well and they were too small for the buttons. Bummer.

So, I don't really love the smaller buttons on it, but I plan on making the holes bigger and sewing on my cute buttons, sometime.

Maybe.

Thanks for reading!
