This round super chunky crochet pillow is a quick and super easy project with stunning results. The extra bulky yarn showcases the lovely crochet stitches and bring a trendy, boho feel into your home. Make this stylish crochet pillow for any room in your home!
If you guys recall, I bought this super duper chunky yarn direct from China a couple years ago. I made this quick 4-row cowl with it, but I had quite a bit leftover. I was inspired to make this crochet pillow when I found a round pillowform on sale. Making this super chunky crochet pillow is just as simple and quick and you would imagine.
I adore the texture of the bulky stitches. I might order more yarn and make a square one as well. (By the way, this color was supposed to be gray, so don’t be too set on the colors you think you ordered)
I will also add that it does shed a bit. Not a ton, but enough that I wouldn’t recommend using it for anything other than decoration. (wear your bulky cowl only on special occasions 😂)
P.S. Did you notice my fab chair? The church that I attended as a child had a classroom full of these vintage (probably antique) chairs. The leadership decided to buy less bulky chairs and sell these ones as a fundraiser for the youth organization. I was so happy to get my hands on a couple of them!

xoxo,
Do you think double strand of #5 would be a good alternative to the yarn you used?
Possibly! It would only change the size and you could work fewer or more rows to compensate.
Hello! Thank you so much for this great pattern! My one question is where did you get that material round pillow? To fit into that crochet pillow… thank you
I got it at my local Joann, but I think most craft stores carry them. It’s called “pillow form” or “pillow insert”.
I am trying to crochet the gladiator sandal, and I wonder if there is a misprint
In the directions. I have the sole done, but in trying to add the straps, it seems a though the straps begin in the middle of the top of the toe. I know that is not correct.
You possibly didn’t start the shoe in the right place. Where did you join the body?
