This darling crochet plaid bandana bib is perfect for your drooling, messy bundle of joy. Baby will also enjoy mouthing the squishy fabric, which is totally fine because this bib is made from cotton. My kids have all been droolers. It starts with buckets of spit-up (yet my babies still have thigh rolls, thank goodness!). I always wondered how “burp cloths” worked for anyone  because I needed burp blankets to contain everything!
Next, my kids would absolutely drool allll daaaay. Well-meaning strangers would insist my baby was teething
(for 9 months?!). Every-day-wear bibs were our answer (switched out a few times throughout the day of course!).

Crochet bibs offer even more protection because they are thicker than one layer of fabric and the cotton is super absorbent!

Whip out a couple of these crochet plaid bandana bibs and your drooler will meet her match. It would make a darling baby shower gift too!

  2. Hi there! I absolutely love this little bib! I’m a big plaid fan so plaid week is amazing for me! I was wondering what age/size babies do ya think this would fit? And if ya had any advice on how to size the pattern up to fit an older toddler as kind of a cowl/kerchief? My niece is 18 months and I think she’d look just darling wearing this for winter! Thank you in advance! Your patterns are great and always so creative!

    1. Thank you! It fits probably from 3 months to a year. To easily size it up I would suggest maybe putting some chain ties on the corners, you wouldn’t need to alter the crochet pattern that way!

      1. Oooh that’s a great idea! If I make a thick strap with buttonholes for one side and one with a button for the other it should fit for awhile 🤔 thank ya so much!
