Duck Tape® Mummy Jack-O-Lantern #StickOrTreat & Contest

October 14, 2013 by Bethany 8 Comments

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Duck Brand provided by ShurTech Brands, LLC for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Halloween is one of my abosolute favorite holidays. And, of course, a jack-o-lantern is a quintessential part of Halloween. I whipped out this easy Duck Tape® mummy in just a few minutes! I hope this gives you some inspiration, because Duck Tape® is actually hosting a cool Stick or Treat Contest, where you could enter your jack-o-lantern for a chance to win $1000 AND a Cricut Mini®!

But first, here’s mine:

For this project, you will need a pumpkin (I thought the white one was awesome!), a precision knife, Duck Tape® in white and black, and a small, brown ink pad.

To make the “bandages” look mucky, I used the small ink pad on the edges of a strip of tape before wrapping it.

Tip the ink pad so you are getting an angle on the top of your tape. I had good results by using a brusing technique, instead of blotting it.

Then, I just wrapped the pumpkin in several strips, and free-handed the face with my precision knife. After applying the face, I added a few more strips to make it looked more “wrapped.”
