Happy Friday everyone!

Today I am excited to reveal a fun project that a few bloggers and I have been working on.
One of my favorite things about the holidays (I know, it’s too early to talk about the holidays!), is the charity and service. Growing up, we always tried to do a service project each season. Sometimes we would doorbell-ditch a bag of toys and gifts for a family in need, other times we would choose a family to do “12 days of Christmas”, leaving a gift or treat for 12 nights in a row. Every single year on Christmas Eve, we invited several families to join us caroling, where we visited families and older singles in our neighborhood. Service brings happiness! Especially if you are going through a tough time yourself.

In this spirit of giving and charity, we are joining together for a Crochet Mitten Drive CAL! 15 designer, including myself, will be working together to bring you 15 free and unique mitten patterns. We are hoping that each participant will take our patterns and make mittens to donate to a local charity.

Please join us! The patterns will be released each week on Friday, so please join our Facebook Community for notifications of each free pattern. I will also be sharing the new patterns on my Facebook page each week, so follow me to see them.

“The best place to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” –Ghandi

I know this is true! Service brings more happiness than all the gifts, gadgets or toys in the world (and wonderful memories for your family!).

Can’t wait to meet you in the group!
Happy crocheting,

  1. I also requested to join a week ago but the group seems to have dissapeared now, and I am afraid I was not accepted.

  2. I am a beginner at crocheting. I do not participate with facebook. I live in New Hampshire and we have many families in need. I would love to give back to my community. How would I get the mitten patterns? Thank you.

    1. No that doesn’t exclude you! But you might have a hard time finding the patterns. I believe the designer list is in chronological order, so you can search the blog each Friday and find them that way.
