Happy Friday, Whistlers! I wanted to wrap up summer with this lovely and airy Summer Festival Slouchy. I absolutely love hats, and this light hat is still wearable is warmer weather with its granny stitch-esque stripes, and breathable cotton yarn.
Happy Friday my lovely friends!
This was the last week of school here, which doesn’t mean too much for me because my kids aren’t in school yet, but it might mean lots of fun for you! I think back to when I was young. Summer was so care-free, so fun, and so long. Summer still holds lots of nostalgia, and I enjoy it’s visit every year. And even though the weather is warm, you can still wear cute hats.
I was asked to be a part of Cream of the Crop Crochet’s 12 Months of Slouchy Hats, so today I am sharing the Summer Festival Slouchy Hat crochet pattern.
Happy summer (If it’s summertime where you are!)! I hope you are enjoying the weather and the extra family time. I don’t have little ones in school yet, so for us, summer means lots outside fun, and of course, whining at bedtime because it’s still light outside. If you are still doing yard work and have a bit of yard waste, I hope this post finds you at a good time! I used a few sticks that I raked up in our yard and made this pretty summer wreath.
It’s quite rustic, and I love how it turned out. It’s a quick wreath project that you can make in about 30 minutes, so get outside and gather up some sticks!
I am over at PinkWhen sharing the full tutorial, so hop over and get the deets!

Ah. Summertime. One nice thing about living back in Utah is the summer! It gets hot, don’t get me wrong, but the nights get lovely and cool. I love opening my windows and letting in a cool breeze as the sun goes down; something that was never an option in Vegas. It was still over 100 degrees at 10:00 pm! It’s so nice to sit in the shade and enjoy the weather, drink in hand. I don’t drink alcohol, but it doesn’t mean that there isn’t a delicious drink to be had.

I can’t believe how time flies! Summer is already halfway over. When my sister told me when my niece’s baby blessing would be, I was really excited to make her some white blessing shoes. I was originally going to make her a pair of Little Dot Mary Jane Booties, but then I changed my mind. It’s summertime, this little princess needs some sandals! I wrote this Button Gladiator Sandals pattern just for my sweet niece.
