This darling and cute teddy bear crochet pattern is your soon-to-be best friend! His sweet face and warm heart will be a treasured gift to anyone who receives him. The pattern includes Poca (18″ long), Moca (13″ long) as well as a lovey!
Poca, this crochet teddy bear has been a very special project for me and has taken me quite some time to perfect. When my son was in the PICU after his accident in 2016 he was given a teddy bear from a family friend. He loved how floppy the bear’s arms and legs were and I loved its adorable, sweet face. It was special to him, which made it special to me.
Months later, I set out to create a crochet version. It was a lot of trial and error, changing my mind, sending off to testers, changing my mind again, making last minute changes…etc. But it’s finally completed and I am so excited to share it with you. (I even have plans for some fun variations )
The vest was actually a last-minute addition. He is so adorable, but for some reason I was pulled to the idea of giving him a plaid vest. The vest is quite simple, and the pattern includes the instructions for both the buffalo plaid vest and the solid-color vest.
I also added a smaller version, perfect for for little hands, and a perfect size for a lovey! This smaller version (Moca) measures about 13″ long, has embroidered eyes and, of course, has a little vest as well.
You can add any blanket you wish for your little lovey, but I included instructions to make this soft, textured one, that includes safe, crocheted tassels on each corner. Crash absolutely loves his donkey lovey and he especally enjoys playing and mouthing the crocheting tassels!

Hi Ann! You can get the patterns in my Etsy and Ravelry shops :) The links to my shops in are this post.
Thank you for the pattern! I love working up your things. I’m slowly working on the Poca stuffy and have a question. I got to row 34 and it says to join. Is that correct?
Ok! Thank you for finding that! You should NOT join there, just keep working continuously around. Did you buy the pattern? Please send me an email so I can send you an update.
Thank you! I did not buy the pattern. I just got it from the links you emailed during the CAL.
