Hear ye, hear ye!

June 8, 2014 by Bethany 20 Comments

It’s insane how time flies. High school was not that long ago (junior high either, for that matter). College was over in a blink of an eye. I have apparently been married for 6 1/2 years, though it feels like it can’t possibly be that long. And my boy, my baby couldn’t have been born more than a year ago.. right?
But now, he’s going to be a big brother!

Cute family pregnancy announcement using older sibling! #pregnancy #baby

Even though it seems so recent that we brought that tiny bundle home, he is growing up to be so sweet and wonderful. I can’t possibly imagine loving another child as much as I love him. But I am so excited for the opportunity.

We don’t know the sex yet, but I will keep you posted. For now, I am not doing any nesting, but when we find out it’s going to get crazy around here!

This baby will have so much handmade stuff, and I am so excited to make it.

If you have any amazing DIY baby ideas, I want to hear them!

    Congratulations!

I found your blog searching for a cute baby booties (love how the Mary Janes turned out!) pattern for my fourth, due in August. There are tons of fun patterns out there! Here are a few I found in the last couple week that I’ve been working on (besides piles of bibs and burp cloths!):

    Lion Brand Bunny Lovey

My second ever quilt will be in this pattern: http://www.polkadotchair.com/2013/07/color-blocked-baby-quilt.html/
with precut squares from Sunshine Rose by Tanya Whelan.

    Diaper Changing Pad from http://weallsew.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2011/08/ChangingPadPocket.pdf

    Crib Sheet Tutorial from http://www.luvinthemommyhood.com/2010/05/crib-toddler-bed-sheet-tutorial-with.html

Three hats from this blog, one in this pattern http://allicrafts.blogspot.com/2011/11/free-pattern-baby-earflap-hat-6-months.html

Happy nesting! I’ll be watching to see what you make.

Oh yay! Congratulations on your 4th, how fun! Thanks so much for the baby ideas, I just made my ultrasound appointment so I can begin preparing in a few weeks when we find out. And I am so glad you liked my pattern, and found it useful! :) Thanks for taking the time to comment!

CONGRATS!!!! :) I know it’s hard to believe that you could possibly love another the way you love your first… My oldest daughter had my heart & I was so afraid of the same thing, not loving baby #2 the way I loved her…. when I found out I was pregnant with my 2nd daughter… But the moment I felt her move inside me I knew I’d love her just as much and the moment I looked into her sweet eyes I knew I loved BOTH my girls with ALL my heart! Then baby girl #3 & #4 I felt the same… An indescribable feeling of unconditional love!!! Congrats on baby #2… mine drive me INSANE at times lol but I wouldn’t change it for the world!!!!

Thank you so much!! I know I will love this baby, but it is so hard to imagine two babies that have my heart. But I couldn’t imagine my first either, I guess the heart just grows to make more room! Thanks for your sweet comment :)

Thanks so much! Yes, he seems excited! I don’t think he really understands, but he is so sweet and knows that “the baby is in mommy’s tummy.” He is a sweet boy, I know he will be loving and not the jealous type :)
