These are some questions I get asked very frequently. If I don’t reply to a question you have asked on any post or pattern, chances are, the answer is here. Hopefully this will be easier and quicker for you!
1. I am unfamiliar with some of the crochet terms, can you list them?
Yes! These are the abbreviations I use in my patterns, which are in American terms. I also have a video for most of them, just click.
sc: single crochet
hdc: half double crochet
dc: double crochet
hdc2tog: half double crochet 2 together
sc2tog: single crochet 2 together
dc2tog: double crochet 2 together
sl st: slip stitch
2. I have tried to view your pattern on my device, but the watermark is black and covers up the pattern, suggestions?
The watermark is light gray and does not interfere with the pattern when displayed correctly. Most readers are having problems with their Kindles (which might have problems differentiated between grays) and have found success using Office or Adobe Reader to view the PDF pattern. Emailing a non-watermarked pattern is not an option, so please don’t ask.
3. How can I get your free patterns?
Every single pattern I give for free is available on the blog post. Scroll to the bottom, and the link to the PDF will always be below the last photo.
4. Do you sell items made from your patterns?
I do sell on Etsy, but I only do a few orders a week at maximum. I open my listings on Monday, and leave it open until it sells out. If you don’t see a listing, check back Monday morning.
5. Can I sell items made from your patterns?
Yes, you can sell items! However, you MUST link back credit. If selling on Facebook, you must link to my blog in your listing. If selling on Etsy, you must link to my blog. If selling at a farmers market, you must put my blog name, first name and website on your tag. You CANNOT use my photo to sell your items, and using a photo and cropping out my watermark is theft, so please don’t do it. I take my work very seriously, and since I am giving the pattern for free, I would appreciate reciprocating courtesy.
6. I am having an issue understanding one of your patterns, can you help?
Absolutely! Leave a comment or send me an email, but please please include which pattern (I have quite a few), the size and step you are having a problem with. I can get you help much faster if I know what you are talking about!
