Crochet Pattern: Galilee Crochet Slippers | These gorgeous (and easy) slippers feature beautiful color changes. Cozy for your feet and fun to make.

A new era is dawning in our home. It’s the age of Playing Together. The Boy and Sis are finally at a level where they can play together and I tell you, it’s glorious. I am working today in broad daylight. Not a single child is napping. Granted, there is intermittent screeching from Sis and occasional outbursts from The Boy, but they have been getting along for about an hour now. Praise the heavens. I found time to try these gorgeous Galilee Crochet Slippers, designed by Tara of Mamachee. Aren’t they beautiful?

I am so happy with how they turned out. They were very simple and fun to make. I love the different colored rows, making the colorwork possibilities endless. I love mixing and matching colors and I had fun picking out this color palette. I used Knit Picks Brava Worsted in Dove Heather, Cornflower, Seashell and Peacock. I am so happy with my color choice! They turned out beautiful.

I did make one teensy change, purely for my personal preference. I don’t know if my feet are weird shaped or my gait is awkward, but I prefer to have the heel of my slippers cup around the back of my foot. I worked a few decreases around the heel on the 2nd to the last row. They turned out absolutely perfect and fit beautifully.

  1. hi, in the pattern what is FDCDEC and FTCDEC meens ?? i am good at learning.. but these are no where to find on the internet, youtube and all… :( thanks

    1. Hm. I am not 100% sure but are they possible post stitches? Maybe Front post dc decrease and front post treble crochet decrease? That is my guess.

    2. Hi they are fake double crochet decrease(FDCDEC) and FHDCDEC is fake half double crochet decrease. Tara explains in the pattern

  2. I was disapointed to find that no free pattern was available for the above slippers. I followed the pattern trail on the Shoot which said it was a free pattern. Can you please tell me what happened to it? Thanks.

    1. I am not sure what “Shoot” is, so it sounds like someone made a false article/pin to generate page views for themselves. I am sorry! I had nothing to do with it.

  3. Hi Beth
I was wanting to get the pattern for the slippers you made. The Galilee Slippers. I clicked on the link and it brought me to Etsy and it said they were sold out. Is the pattern not available anymore. Awe…..

    1. Oh dear! She still sells it, but maybe the listing moved because I found it at a new URL in her shop! I fixed the link. Thanks so much for letting me know!

      1. I would like the crochet slipper pattern. According to the website the pattern is sold out. Can i still get hold of it?

  4. Thank you for sharing your project at the #HomeMattersParty

I really enjoy crocheting. These slippers are really super cute. I bet they only take a couple of hours to make once you have purchased the pattern. Great little project
