With St. Patrick’s day coming up, I thought I would share an easy and festive St. Patty’s snack, Shamrock Deviled Eggs. These eggs aren’t Irish, and they don’t have anything to do with St. Patrick’s Day, except that they are green( I think, anyway), but I guess that’s how a lot of St. Patty foods are!
Coloring the eggs is so easy! Simply soak your boiled eggs in colored water. Make sure to slice them in half, and removed the yolks first. I have made the mistake of forgetting to do that, and the insides will still be white. The water needs to be quite saturated, I used about 15 drops.
The longer you let them soak, the brighter colored your eggs will be. Mine soaked for about 30 minutes.
After they are colored, finish your deviled eggs using your favorite recipe. I also added green color to the yolks.
Mmmm. Green eggs.
