Happy Friday my lovely friends!
This was the last week of school here, which doesn’t mean too much for me because my kids aren’t in school yet, but it might mean lots of fun for you! I think back to when I was young. Summer was so care-free, so fun, and so long. Summer still holds lots of nostalgia, and I enjoy it’s visit every year. And even though the weather is warm, you can still wear cute hats.
I was asked to be a part of Cream of the Crop Crochet’s 12 Months of Slouchy Hats, so today I am sharing the Summer Festival Slouchy Hat crochet pattern.
I really recommend using (affiliate link–>) Knit Picks Comfy Worsted for this hat, I used Marina and Ivory. It’s a cotton blend and it’s SO. SOFT. The cotton makes it breathable, and the acrylic makes it skin-soft, so it’s perfect for a summer hat. I haven’t made a hat with this yarn before, but I will be making many more. It’s so soft that it might not be best for a sun hat, but it has the perfect softness and drape for this slouchy.
I hope you enjoy!
