In reply to Toni Barsi. Caramel is actually pretty tricky! Hard candy is pretty easy though, you just let it boil without stirring until it's hot enough.

I’ve never thought of making my own candy canes. I’m not a big fan of peppermint candy, so these sound really yummy!
