I’m sorry to bother you, but I see what I think is a typo. In your directions for LARGE BLOCK PLAID SQUARE, Row 4 it reads as follows :
4. With whine, Ch 2. Dc in same st. Dc in next st. Switch to Gray. Dc in next 5 sts. Switch to White. Continue alternating between white and gray every 5 sts for next 25 sts. Switch to Gray. Dc in last two sts. Turn. (34 sts)

Should the first color be white, not whine?

In reply to Patricia. Hi! Yes, you drop it and join the new color by puling up a loop. You don't need to cut it each time, but you can use what works best for you.

How do you switch from color to color? What method works best for this? I currently use where you tie the strands together but notice that you say “drop” colors.

In reply to Kim. Hello Kim! I used Red Heart Soft, but you can use any medium weight yarn. Even other weights will work, your blanket will simply end up being bigger or smaller.
