In reply to Bethany. I have done the buffalo plaid squares, tartan and geometric and done the sc on the edges. They are all beautifully the same size. It would be easier to just make some 32 st. mountain squares and use the larger ones for the centers of pillows or in a table runner perhaps. I do love this afghan and it will be prominently displayed in my living room!

In reply to Bethany. How many squares have you made? So you don't have to undo all your work, maybe you can work a sc border around the other ones.

In reply to Kathleen. It's larger than your antler's square? That is curious. They are the same width in stitches so I am not sure why yours is larger.

I have made two of the mountain squares and they are noticeably larger than the others. I think it needs to be made with 32 stitches to narrow it. The height seems OK. I do not think I can block it to 9″ X 9″.

I’m a little confused on how to do the bobbin part of this. I made the pattern, and am about to start my second square and i’m slightly confused by dropping colors. Do you have a tutorial you can suggest that shows how to drop and pick up colors using the bobbins?
