crochet peacock feather crochet pattern

It’s crazy that this year marks 8 years since I started blogging and designing crochet patterns. I admit, when I started I didn’t know exactly what I was doing. Over the years I was able to hone my craft and get better at designing, photography and almost everything. Since then, I have been gradually working on older things to bring everything up to my current standard of work. I loved this crochet peacock feather when I designed it several years ago, and I thought this week would be a good week to dust it off and polish it up.

I think it was more work fixing an existing pattern then it would have been to simply start over from scratch, yikes!

When I first designed this pattern so many years ago, I spent a lot of time staring at the embroidery floss wall, trying to decipher which colors would make my crochet peacock feathers looks almost real.
This time around I had tons of fun playing around with different, non traditional colors and pairing them together.

This bright coral-pink crochet peacock feather ended up being my favorite, I love those colors together.
