crochet panda bear crochet pattern easy crochet amigurumi

I actually made this little crochet panda before I had finished perfecting Poca the Bear, but with the CAL we did, he sort of got put on the back burner. An initial prototype was stuffed in a bag and shoved in a closet, completely forgotten. However, due to my current condition (baby coming in 4 weeks!) I have been cleaning and organizing like crazy and found it. I decided it was time to type up the changes, make a brand new one and share the pattern!

For some reason the ears turned out bigger than Poca (same hook, same pattern, same yarn!)…hm. My shoe size changed with each pregancy, I really hope my gauge doesn’t change with this one!

CROCHET PANDA BEAR CONSTRUCTION:
All construction will be the same except for eye patches and nose.

Sew nose to snout. Pin nose/snout to bear right under the eyes (same as the Poca Bear). Sew in place before sewing down the eye patches. Once the snout is in place, sew the eye patches so they barely overlap the nose.

Isn’t he lovely? I am trying to decide who will get this cute little guy. My kids’ rooms are overflowing with crochet toys, I think it’s time to spread the love around a little bit.

Enjoy your new crochet panda bear!
