The craziest place I’ve crocheted has to be in my work truck. I ran an auto parts store and also made deliveries (which is how I managed to get promoted to manager, actually). When one is stuck waiting for a train to clear the tracks, one wishes for something to do to keep the brain occupied while sitting idly. I decided this was an excellent reason to keep my current WIP in the truck. While everyone else was screaming about waiting 20 minutes or more for the train to clear the tracks, I was peacefully crocheting. It didn’t require my full attention so I was ready to drive as soon as the barrier lifted.

Thank you so much for this pattern, Bethany! I just found it and made one bag this very afternoon, with 2 colours of scrap cotton yarn. It turned our beautiful and will be very useful for my travelling projects.

As to the strangest place where I’ve crocheted, it was probably in 5th grade (over 30 years ago) under my desk in class. I was sitting in the back, but the teacher eventually found out. But she was amazing, instead of punishing me she told the class “look at her, she is busy crocheting but still can follow the lesson very well!” Of course, I put it away, tomato-red…
