Make this crochet camo hat using color work and a graph! This new pattern is part of my new crochet color work course, which includes all my color work hats. Learn the basics of how to make a stretchy brim, how to keep yarns from getting tangled, the basics of fair isle and tapestry crochet. When you are ready, pick which graph to use to make your hat!
This crochet camo hat has been in the works for a while. To be perfectly honestly, I have had a hard time finding the perfect colors. I am still not sure I did find the perfect colors, so I might try making it again with a few different color ways. It would be fun to try unconventional colors too.
I order some olive and brown Heartland yarn, and I really think that these colors will be perfect. Can’t wait to make another one!
Have you tried color work before?
It is so much fun. I love to see the design come to life as I go along. Even if you are brand new to color work, the hat course includes videos with basic instructions for working color work, carrying yarn and changing colors.
It is really easier than you think, I promise. I think the most helpful thing in the course is a quick tip to keep your yarns from getting tangled up!
