I was busy this weekend.
Remember these summer flower barefoot sandals from last week?
I have been hooked. They work up in minutes, and I’ve been having so much fun making different embellishments for the top. I have several different ideas in the works, and I will be publishing each of them when they’re finished.
You haven’t moved onto fall crocheting yet, have you?
The basic sandal is the same for all of them, so I will be publishing the embellishment on the top. These bow barefoot sandals are super quick and are so adorable.
Honestly for me, choosing the colors is the most fun part. I love how the pink and mint look on these dainty little things. They are soft and stretchy, so I know they are comfy for little feet.
As long as she has a teether in her hand, I can get her to ignore the enticingly bright colors. These little beauties stay put, though. My little one hasn’t been able to pull her’s off, so these are definitely a winner.

Bow:
Ch 8
1.
Hdc in 2nd ch from hook. Hdc 6. Turn.
2. -3.
Ch 1. Hdc in same st. Hdc 6. Turn.
Weave in ends.
Using a separate length of yarn, pinch the middle of the bow and wrap the yarn around it a few times. Tie is a secure knot on the back.
Attach to the top of the barefoot sandal with a few dabs of hot glue.

Happy crocheting!
Sewing the bow on might get it to stay better than hot glue
Hot glue worked perfectly for me! They didn’t have problems staying, but you can definitely sew yours on instead of using hot glue.
What brand of yarn did you use?
I used Caron Simply Soft.
What size baby (how many pounds), does this size fit?
They are stretchy, so they fit a wide range of babies. Mine was about 17 lbs in the photo.
Thank you. I didn’t think it looked like newborn toes!
Oh yeah! She is a chunk ;)
Do you have any knitting patterns for baby flip flops or sandals?
I don’t, I’m sorry! I don’t know how to knit :(
Hello, first thank so much for sharing your patterns. I stumbled upon your site sharing your gladiator sandals, which are so adorable. Thank you for your tutorial! I am an avid knitter not a crocheter 😃 so your tutorials are great. I like your barefoot flower sandal and I believe that I can follow the instructions, however I noticed under the instructions for the bow barefoot sandals you have noted to click here for instructions and tutorial for the main body, but it just goes to the flower instructions. Do you have a tutorial for the barefoot sandal?
Thanks so much!
Rose
Hi Rose!
If you read through the post, it included the instructions for the barefoot sandal:) The first part (the green) is the sandal, and then the pattern for the flower is after.
Happy crocheting!
These are so adorable! My daughter is due any day now with a baby girl so I can’t wait to to get these mad. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much! You are very welcome! Congratulations :D
