I really try to let go of things as soon as I don’t need them anymore. YES I have been burned on numerous occasions, but most of the time it has served my mental health well to let go of clutter and unused items.
But I have a few special items I hold onto, hoping to reuse it at some point. This includes a cute onesie given to me when The Boy was an infant that reads “Daddy’s Co-Pilot” with a helicopter on it (this is a rare find!)

Another is this cozy plaid jacket that also belonged to The Boy when he was about Cubbie’s age. I keep holding onto it and each child uses it in turn. It’s funny what type of silly little things speak to us. ❤️

cute crochet buffalo plaid trapper hat for whole family - crochet pattern

I’m still deciding if the double plaid was overkill for this photos shoot. 😅

It was important to me to use fuzzy yarn for this hat, because I wanted it to be extra cozy. I initially tried first with faux fur yarn, a #6 bulky, but I ultimately felt the #5 fuzzy worked best.
That being said, a #6 faux fur yarn WILL WORK if you want to give it a try. I would love to see your version!

Sew the buttons in place on each side.

Cut a small piece of sticky velcro. Stick both pieces together, and remove the backing to the hooks side. Place it on the outside of either strap. Remove the backing of the other side (still stuck to the hooks side). Place the other strap onto the sticky side, press to secure it in place.

  1. I was looking for the bibs for the baby when I came across this trapper hat and had to get the pattern for it. My youngest niece just got married and she said she wants babies and both she and her husband are into hunting and all types of outdoor sports and I just needed the pattern so I can make this hat for them for their 1st baby. If they have a baby of the opposite sex then I will have to make them another 1 for that baby too.
Thank You for much for actually sharing your pattern, I truly appreciate it as I am deaf and can not hear YouTube.
