Maybe a coat or 2 of Modge Podge…it’s easily painted on to the bottom. My Mom use to use that stuff for all kinds of things. 
You can find it on Amazon or any Craft Store…take a look at the definition to see if it could be of help. 
Please re-post when you find a solution so we can all use it. I haven’t tried any footwear patterns yet, just ran across this pattern and problem this morning.

You can buy a rubber backing that u can spray on, it is used on rugs to keep them from slipping.  It is sold at most craft stores like Micheals, Walmart.  I think u might be able to find it at Lowe&#039;s or Home Depot, too.  Or u can take a hot glue gun and run a few lines of glue on the bottoms, that works too.]]></description>
