Maybe a coat or 2 of Modge Podge…it’s easily painted on to the bottom. My Mom use to use that stuff for all kinds of things.
You can find it on Amazon or any Craft Store…take a look at the definition to see if it could be of help.
Please re-post when you find a solution so we can all use it. I haven’t tried any footwear patterns yet, just ran across this pattern and problem this morning.

A’m looking for a crochet pattern for Granny’s slippers that look just like the knitted granny slippers. But have been unable to find one. Can anyone help?

In reply to Lynne Vaughan. You can buy a rubber backing that u can spray on, it is used on rugs to keep them from slipping. It is sold at most craft stores like Micheals, Walmart. I think u might be able to find it at Lowe's or Home Depot, too. Or u can take a hot glue gun and run a few lines of glue on the bottoms, that works too.
