I know, I know, it’s still August. Why am I posting cold-weather patterns?
As a crocheter, my heart will always be happy during colder months of the year. The cold brings such inspiration! Once my feed fills with adorable pictures of kids returning to school, my mind starts focusing on cozy, wintry projects –because school is the unofficial end to the summer. Today I am excited to share this Timber Wolf Slouchy Hat.
I was approached by All Free Crochet (my FAVE place to get free crochet patterns) to review Scarfie Yarn by Lion Brand. As soon as I opened the package, I knew what I would be making. The idea for this Timber Wolf Slouchy Hat has been in my idea book since last winter, but I kept putting off designing it. I cannot even explain how perfect it worked out. The ombre black and cream is gorgeous coloring, and the chunky texture is soft, cozy and quick.

And since it is, in fact, still August, mine will be sitting on my bedside table. Only for a couple weeks, though, because come September here in Utah, I will need it.
