Let me preface this by saying that I don't do paper crafts. I have tried and tried, and have failed and failed. I simply do not have the talent for it. My "scrapbook" looks like a preschooler's homework project. So when it comes to cards, I'm am just as terrible. Needless to say, I buy all my cards.
And Hallmark Connections always has my back!
I have a few birthdays coming up this month, so I decided to go to Walmart and stock up on cards and hopefully avoid the dreaded "belated birthday wishes." I probably should get a calendar or something, but I try to rely on my own brain power, and I usually space it until the last minute. (Hm, project idea...) And Walmart is great because they have 3 whole aisles of Hallmark cards!
I am very frugal by nature, but there is just something awesome about finding the perfect card. Of course there are other cards that you can get for $1, but Hallmark always says it best. Because my family lives a bit spread out, we mostly just send cards to each other, however, I am making something special for my mom. (Hint: it may or may not be crocheted).
I don't have much of a strategy when shopping for cards, but honestly, I think it's a lot of fun to just stand there and read. When you find the right one, you just know it.
I have to show off my finds!
For my mom:
This card fits her to a T. She takes care of everyone first, and is probably the most down-to-earth person ever.
For my mom-in-law:
I don't know about other peoples' experiences, but I love my mom-in-law and I am so lucky to have her. I felt loved from the minute my husband brought me home to meet her, and I feel horrible for people who don't absolutely love their MIL's!
For my son: (He is turning 2!)
What?! How cute is this card. My son LOVES planes (and helicopters, too, of course!), and this card actually has a toy plane you can pop out and fold up. He may not read what we write, but I think he will love this card!
I actually couldn't decided for the last card. That's where you guys come in! I need help picking one for my brother-in-law, which one is your favorite?
So which one do you like best? Comment with your favorites, and the one with the most votes is the one I will give him! Thank you guys :)
