For those of you who don’t know, my husband flies helicopter tours over the Grand Canyon. He has been working at this job for about a year and half, and we finally made arrangement for me to go for a ride with him. I don’t know what took me so long, but I finally made it up there. It was amazing!
The photos don’t do it justice. |
To be honest, I didn’t take too many photos in the air.
Part of the tour included landing in the bottom. We got the waterfall site, which was nice because it was a little bit away from the other landing spots. Tours are always coming in and out, so we didn’t have to be in the middle of it.
See those bags by my feet? Ya, they are filled with puke from a motion-sick passenger |
Can you believe I am married to this stud?
What an amazing job your hubby has! And I totally get the peace sign joke. We have a ton of Japanese tourists/immigrants/students here and I have lots of friends who are into studying the Japanese language and culture. Guess what they do every time a camera comes out? Throw up a peace sign!
Wow. We couldn’t take an air tour when we visited a couple of years back. Little one was too little then. I can only imagine how awesome it must be!
Anjana.
It was amazing :) I had to leave mine with some close friends, it’s hard when you have kids. Hopefully you can come back!
Whoa! Your husband works for GCH?! I used to be a copywriter for Papillon/GCH and would go on several of the tours there as part of my job. So much fun!
Glad you enjoyed yourself. Definitely an amazing trip.
Really?! I didn’t know that! That sounds like a pretty cool gig. That’s awesome that you got to go, it is so amazing to see from the air!
How fun! My husband wants to do that so bad. Maybe we’ll have to bum a ride with your husband one day. :)
It’s definitely the best way to see the Grand Canyon :)
Now that’s what I call a date :)
Haha! Yep :)
