Strawberry Wheat Pancakes

The most important meal of the day is breakfast, right? Well,  I wanted to share my strawberry wheat pancake recipe.  These pancakes are filling and delicious! I have only tried them with maple syrup, but I bet these would be yummy with a fruit syrup as well.

Strawberry Wheat Pancakes:

1 C whole wheat flour
1 C milk (I like thick batter, you can add a little more milk to achieve desired consistency)
1 egg
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
2 Tbl white all purpose flour
2 heaping Tbl wheat germ
3 Tbl sugar
3/4 C chopped fresh or frozen strawberries

Mix all ingredients together. It will make about 8 pancakes (depending on size, of course).

This recipe doesn't call for oil, but I HIGHLY recommend using butter (not margarine) to grease your griddle. Your pancakes will come up easy, and will still have a beautiful golden color.

Thanks for reading, have a wonderful day!
