I started making jewelry a few years ago when I learned how easy it is! If you have the right tools and the right supplies it's actually very simple.
I didn't have any brass findings, so I bought an assorted package. Plus, I found these brassy glass seed beads.
With seed beads, I have found the easiest string to use is fishing line. It's thin, strong, and doesn't fray.
I tied on the claps using a half hitch knot, and strung three strands of seed beads.

For the earrings, I just opened a ring with needle-nosed pliers and slipped on the earring hook, and did the same with the pendent.
So easy.

Oh that Hobby Lobby! One of my few regrets of small town life is being hours from a HL!! But it sure is a budget saver :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! Yes, its pretty easy to blow lots of cash in there. Heck, it's not really blowing it if it's for a good cause right? (i.e. my crafting habit)
