I started crocheting as a kid during 4-H, but I really got serious about it when I was pregnant with my son. It is so easy to learn; I found a few videos on youtube and before the night was up, I had crocheted my son a hat!

First, I wanted to share two of my favorite patterns. First, the loafer booties.

These shoes are absolutely darling, and whenever my newborn son wore his, everyone complimented them. The best part is that this pattern is so incredibly easy. I am not amazing or very quick with crochet, but I can make a pair of these during my son's morning nap. This is a pattern created by Cassi at The Stitch House.  She also has at Etsy shop.

My next favorite is these cute little mary jane's.

I don't have a little girl to crochet for, but lucky for me, I have friends and relatives who do! Everyone has just loved these little shoes. The two-tones are just adorable! This pattern was created by Sylvia at Hook Candy.
